Bethel’s Annual Gala: Walking the Red Carpet at the Jacob Burns Films Center

Pleasantville Guests of the Bethel Foundation’s Annual Gala walked the red carpet at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville earlier this week for the premiere of Cyber-Seniors, an engaging movie that shares a warm and humorous look at seniors as they learn how to use social media.

In the film, seniors partner with teens who enthusiastically take on the responsibility of being their 21st century technology mentors. The story follows the seniors as they learn new skills while the teens gain insight into the current and former lives of their senior protégés.

The evening also featured A Silent Auction which enabled attendees to bid on unique items such as autographed Toe Shoes from the NYC ballet, a signed football from the NY Giants, Wine Tasting for Twelve at Best Wine Purveyors, and a Film Sponsor Membership with Jacob Burns Film Center, among others.

Catered by Taylored Menus Inc. of Pleasantville, guests sampled epicurean hor d’oeuvres and desserts during the course of the evening.

Proceeds from the event benefit the programs and services provided by Bethel to its residents.
